Recently, Small and Medium Enterprise Administration, directed by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has released the top 500 list in the 7th ‘MAKER IN CHINA’ contest. The contest has covered 35 regional competitions, 6 industrial chain collaboration competitions, 5 specific competitions in key industries, and 1 oversea competition. More than 37,000 SMEs were signed up, and it is an increase of 18% on a YOY basis.
Not long ago in June of the same year, METiS participated in the "Maker Beijing 2022" contest which was jointly sponsored by the Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, the Municipal Bureau of Finance, and the People's Government of Fengtai District of Beijing. Dr. Caida Lai, CEO, and Dr. Andong Liu, VP of Innovative Technology participated in the competition. METiS’s project named as "Driving Drug Delivery Development" was awarded as a TOP150 project. As the winning project of Beijing Regional Competition, METiS was successfully recommended by the competent authorities to participate in the "Maker China" SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest. Finally, it set apart from 150 high-quality projects and was honored as the top 500 with a pass through the public notification period.

‘MAKER in BEIJING 2022’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest was jointly sponsored by the Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, the Municipal Bureau of Finance, and the People's Government of Fengtai District of Beijing. The contest covers Regional Chapters and Leading Cooperates Competitions, and it is based on the theme of ‘Maker in Beijing, Intelligence for Future’. The contest aiming at taking the regional advantage of Beijing as a center of science and technology Innovation to push the envelope to against the risks of pandemic, economy &employment slump and stagnant development, and to create a broad platform for small and medium-sized enterprises and makers to exchanging ideas, collaboration, projects incubation. It is endeavored to beef up the industrial ecology of collaborative innovation, resource sharing and integrated development between large enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises.

The "Maker in China" SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest was jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Finance, is aiming at motivating innovation, aggregating entrepreneurship resources, building innovative entrepreneurial climate, and developing a platform for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to exchanging ideas, collaboration, projects incubation. The contest is also aiming at discovering and fostering a number of outstanding projects, creating new products, new technology, new pattern and new industrial form, facilitating the transformation and upgrading of small and medium-sized enterprises to be more professional, refined, specialized and innovative, driving integrated innovation among large, small and medium-sized enterprises, and bolstering manufacturing power and cyber power of China.
