This alliance aims to leverage Metis’s differentiated capabilities in AI-driven protein engineering, in vivo immunotherapy, and programmable biologics alongside Deerfield’s deep experience in healthcare innovation, translational medicine, clinical development, and global partnerships.
Metis has developed an integrated AI biologics platform spanning AI protein generation, in vivo delivery technologies, and next-generation immunotherapy development. Its proprietary AiProtein platform is designed to enable the rapid discovery and optimization of novel therapeutic proteins, including T-cell engagers (TCEs), in vivo protein therapies, and other advanced immunomodulatory modalities.
Deerfield intends to collaborate with Metis across selected global clinical development and business development initiatives related to the Company’s proprietary AI therapeutic platforms and pipeline programs.
For example, Metis has already discovered and advanced a lead T-cell engager program through its AiProtein platform to preclinical candidate stage, for which Deerfield intends to explore potential licensing and development opportunities with the goal of advancing it into IND-enabling studies and clinical development.
